Got Gospel Reggae?

To tell ya'll the truth, I'd just gotten word on Gospel reggae. I'm late huh? Better late than never. Any way I'm proud to hear other genres of music that bigs up the The Word of God. Papa San, featured above, was a secular artist at one point but he turned his life to God and dancehall reggae expanded its horizons. Papa San is said to be instrumental in forging what today is known as Dancehall music. His latest album Real & Personal have some bangers. Click here listen to samples.

Tyler Perry has expanded his comical gifts to T.V. His new T.V. show House of Payne is slated to air May 8th on 10 local television stations around the Miami, New York, Chicago and Dallas areas, just to name a few cities. I'm disappointed it is not airing on the westcoast but I'm pretty sure we will (l.a.) will be seeing it on our stations real soon. check out for more info.

Fantasia is doing the thang. She will play as herself in an upcoming made- for-t.v. film based from her book Life Is Not A Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story. Choreographer/director Mrs. Debbie Allen will direct the film. The movie will air on Lifetime in August. Can't wait to see it. [Source: Concrete Loop]

American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, Prophetess Juanita Bynum and Guitarist/Singer Jonathan Butler will take thier gospel origins to a different level. You may be wondering, "How?" Through classical music. They will perform thier hits to a 70 piece orchestra directed by well-noted conducter Henry Panion, III and a 300 member choir. This exciting concert, Gospel Goes Classical, is slated for Sunday, May 7, 2006 at the Alys Robinson Stephens Performing Arts Center on the campus University of Alabama at 7:00pm.

The biggest revival of our history is going down April 25th-29th in Los Angeles. Various churches around the city of L.A. will hold services in commeration of a powerful and spiritual pentencostal movement led by Pastor William Joseph Seymour in 1906. The purpose for this revival is to change lives, unify cultures who has love for Christ and to have an outpouring of God's presence just like 100 years ago. For more info check out

Alabama's legislature voted on Tuesday to clear Rosa Parks, and many others, arrest records for disobeying the segregation-era laws from 50 years ago. Wow. But doesn't it make you wonder, why so long? I guess now is better than never...

For other tidbits, the wonderful Creflo Dollar was on TBN last night, and this morning. He just wanted listeners to know that we need to become pregnant with the knowledge of God's word in order to see his manifisations for our life unfold. Amen
